I’m a Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec enjoy a drink and smoke as they relax with their wives ahead of new series
In less than a week’s time the latest series of I’m A Celebrity will be kicking off and hosts Ant and Dec will be embarking on their gruelling work regime.
But before that the telly favourites are enjoying a bit more R&R alongside side their wives Lisa Armstrong and Ali Astall, and some friends who had brought their toddler along.
While the likes of Vicky Pattison are struggling with jet lag, the seasoned presenters seemed completely unfazed as they headed for dinner.
Joined by their wives, the stars were seen enjoying a few beers over dinner while Ant could be seen puffing on a cigarette, while Dec in what looked like an ode to a bush tucker trial shovelled spaghetti into his mouth.
The pair, who arrived in Brisbane yesterday, have hosted the show since 2002 and this will be their 16th series.
And while the TV icons usually remain tight-lipped over which celeb they want to be crowned king or queen of the jungle, they’ve revealed they want their fellow Geordie Scarlett Moffatt to take the title.
When asked if he wanted the Channel 4 star to triumph, Declan Donnelly told The Sun: “Yes. Another Geordie could be going in…that’s what the rumours are saying.
“When you just see names and faces on a piece of paper it’s really difficult. It’s when you see them in the flesh that’s when you really get a sense of it.”
Ant will celebrate his 41st birthday later this month and is already planning a big night on the tiles.
Asked what he wants for his big day, he said: “I always look forward to my birthday. Am I doing a list? Anything that involves booze is fine by me.”

Dec also hopes this series has another stand out character like Lady Colin Campbell was in 2015.
He added: “This time last year none of us knew who Lady C was gonna be like, so it’s hard to tell what it’s going to be like this year. But I’m very excited.”
