X Factor’s Honey G on course to duet with Vanilla Ice if she makes it to show’s final
X Factor bosses feel the collaboration will go down as one of the best TV moments of the year

X FACTOR bosses have form for securing the biggest names in music to perform alongside the finalists in the end-of-series showpiece.
SAM SMITH, ED SHEERAN, ELLIE GOULDING and even BEYONCE have all graced the stage for the grand final.
But this year, show chiefs at ITV have been forced to go back to the early Nineties to find an artist willing to stop, collaborate and listen with HONEY G.
I can reveal US rapper VANILLA ICE has been secretly sounded out to perform alongside Honey G if she makes the final next month.
He may long since have gone cold in the charts but I think it’s a genius idea and has the potential to be one of the TV moments of the year.

A source said: “Around this time in the live rounds, show bosses start looking into potential acts for the traditional finalists’ collaborations.
“Vanilla Ice is being seriously considered and he’s bang up for it, too.
“X Factor bosses accept they’ll struggle to find current big-name rappers to perform with Honey G.
“But in some respects they would prefer a more retro and amusing collaboration instead.
“You can imagine Honey G and Vanilla Ice would be an amazing spectacle.”
Honey still has some work to do to make this a reality.
But according to the bookies, it’s a fight between her and Scottish singer EMILY MIDDLEMAS for that third spot in the grand final alongside hunk MATT TERRY and boy band 5 AFTER MIDNIGHT — the standout favourites to fill the other two places.
Should Honey G make the final three, and I hope she does, she’ll also be in line to perform the new X Factor winner’s song.
I revealed this week that Ed Sheeran has provided a song for the winning artist.
But it’s unlikely Honey G would be given the same track to release should she win The X Factor.
Perhaps, then, her potential duet with the US rapper could be used instead?
It would be anything but vanilla.
A midnight flit?
5 AFTER MIDNIGHT’s JORDAN LEE threatened to walk out of The X Factor.
The singer told me exclusively: “I said I was going to go. I do occasionally feel enough is enough.”
He partly blames being with bandmates KIERAN ALLEYNE and NATHAN LEWIS so much, adding: “We’re living on top of each other so it’s tension after tension.”
They got him to stay but say he’s the “worrier of the group”.
The lads’ tour bus won’t be much fun.
Meanwhile MATT TERRY isn’t after just a record deal from The X Factor. He also wants a relationship.
In an exclusive chat, Matt told how smitten he is with CAROLINE ALVARES, from eliminated girl band FOUR OF DIAMONDS – and how he sees a potential future with her.
She had a secret fling with KYLE of axed BROOKS WAY. But Matt has now made his feeling clear – revealing: “She knows.”
With all this X Factor romance, host DERMOT O’LEARY should be replaced by TV matchmaker PADDY McGUINNESS.
Olly No1 run matches 1D
His new record might be called 24 HRS – but OLLY MURS has proved he’s a genuine star who will be around for a long time after again topping the albums chart.
The Essex boy has seen off competition from EMELI SANDE, MICHAEL BALL and ALFIE BOE, CLIFF RICHARD and ELVIS PRESLEY to score his fourth consecutive No1 album – a feat that matches fellow X Factor graduates ONE DIRECTION.
Olly notched 58,000 sales, just 9,000 short of ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ blockbuster The Heavy Entertainment Show last week.
It’s amazing for Olly, who told in Bizarre how the work was born out of one of the toughest periods of his career after splitting from long-term love Francesca Thomas then being axed from hosting The X Factor.
Speaking of his latest triumph, he said: “I’m so excited to have 24 HRS go in at No1. It’s the most personal album I’ve ever made and I’m really proud of it”.
All the pain was well worth it.
The next big thing
ANNE-MARIE has the backing of A-listers ELTON JOHN and ED SHEERAN but her career began thanks to the support of Towie’s JAMES “ARG” ARGENT.
She explained: “I met Arg when I was doing local talent competitions before I got into this industry. He was judging me. It’s where it started.”
She has since been snapped up by Elton’s Rocket Music label and signed a huge record deal with Atlantic – the same label as Elton’s signing Ed Sheeran.
On Elton’s support, she added: “He called me up today to say congrats and was proud of me.
“He’s been there through everything.”
ANNE-MARIE is celebrating two weeks at the top of the charts with her CLEAN BANDIT and SEAN PAUL collaboration Rockabye.
And the pop star, who kicks off her UK tour in Glasgow tomorrow, has just gone gold after shifting a quarter of a million copies of her second single Alarm.
I presented the Essex-born star with her first gold disc at Bizarre HQ yesterday, proving why I named her My Next Big Thing.
I have a feeling the gold disc will be the first of many.
