STRICTLY Come Dancing star Ed Balls has wryly declined X Factor star Honey G's offer of a dance-off.
The former Labour MP was appearing on Lorraine to talk about his time on the BBC dancing competition.
When asked about his response to Honey G's challenge to a dance-off, he wasn't keen.
He said: "I've spent 20 weeks trying to avoid the dance-off - and so far I have... I'm afraid, my answer is that i'm trying to avoid dance-offs at the moment."
Though that wasn't entirely true, as the ex-Shadow Chancellor was amenable to a dance with his interviewer.
He grinned at Lorriane: "A dance-off between you and me, that would be pretty special."
Speaking after her performance on Saturday night's X Factor, she said: "I'd like to challenge Ed Balls to a dance off, challenge me any day. He knows where I am."
Despite facing criticism, both of them have defied the odds as Ed has made it to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Honey G is on course to duet to Vanilla Ice if she makes it to The Factor final.
Ed also spoke about the fact that he would not be bowing out of Strictly as television and radio journalist John Sergeant has done in 2008.
He said: "I think I've got to be respectful to people who are voting for me. They're using their money on the phone and I'm trying really hard and I'm trying to get better every week."
The former MP remarked that he would "love to get a seven from Craig or an 8 from Len".
He added: "Can you imagine if I got to 30? I'm definitely not the best dancer - I'm probably the worst dancer. But I'm really, really trying and if people want me to keep going then I'll keep going.
"I think in the end it becomes more about the dance as it goes on and that makes it harder for me."
