FRENEMIES OR FOE?

The Walking Dead Spoilers: Carol is back on our screens but is warned by Morgan that she’s ‘going soft’ as she adjusts to life in the Kingdom

In a sneak peak clip of the mid-season finale, the old foes have become friends after turning to life under King Ezekiel's reign

AFTER a six episode absence, Carol finally makes an appearance on The Walking Dead - but seems to have completely changed.

Carol, alongside fellow survivor Morgan, have started a new life for themselves in tiger-taming King Ezekiel's peaceful kingdom - but how long can their calm new lives last?

In a sneak-peak of the show's mid-season finale, which airs in the UK next Monday, Carol and Morgan discuss their new lives after begrudgingly becoming friends across their time on the show.

The clip shows Morgan dropping by with vegetables from the garden for Carol, who has become a shut-in during her time in her new home.

Calling him into the house, Carol reveals that Ezekiel has been keeping her stocked with food before telling Morgan: "Some people are having a hard time believing me when I say I just want to be left alone."

Asking why she invited him inside, the pair check on each others well-being before Morgan announces: "I think you're going soft."

As Morgan turns to leave, the pair are surprised to find another visitor at the door - who wants to talk to them about something important.

Is the peaceful Kingdom about to be disrupted?

Meanwhile, The Walking Dead is promising at least one other person will get the chop in the upcoming episode, titled Hearts Still Beating.

The simple synopsis for the episode reads: "Negan’s unwelcome visit to Alexandria continues as other members scavenge for supplies; things quickly spin out of control.”

The first half of the seventh season has received a mixed reaction from fans, who slammed the show for being boring during several episodes including the sixth episode which was dedicated entirely to Tara.

It also received critical backlash after it's first episode - that saw two characters meet a grisly end thanks to a barbed wire baseball bat - and has lost a staggering SIX MILLION viewers since the series launched.

The series opened with its second-biggest all-time audience of 17 million viewers in October, but was quick to drop across both the US and the UK.

The zombie apocalypse show is also currently being investigated by Ofcom over the violent scenes.

A rep for Ofcom revealed: “We’re investigating scenes of very strong violence shortly after the 9pm watershed, and whether these scenes were justified by the context.”

The Walking Dead mid-season finale airs in the UK on FOXTV on December 12.
