Russell Brand’s ex wife Katy Perry hits the jackpot in mammoth nine-figure deal

SINGER Katy Perry’s bank balance is to soar like a Firework after she sold her music rights.

, 38, has pocketed a reported £181million by flogging off her back catalogue to Litmus Music.

The company was set up by Dan McCarroll, the boss at Capitol Records — the same music giant which released Perry’s five studio albums.

The deal includes all of her previous work, featuring 16 multi-platinum selling singles.

The Teenage Dream singer has had five UK No1s — I Kissed A Girl, California Gurls, Part of Me, Roar and Feels.

In a statement, McCarroll said: “Katy Perry is a creative visionary.

Katy’s deal comes eight months after fellow superstar Justin Bieber, 29, sold 100% of his publishing copyright and performance rights for his own back catalogue.

Is he said to have been paid £162 million in the deal with investment company Hipgnosis Songs Capital.
