Strictly Come Dancing star Judge Rinder confirms he’ll appear on THREE dates of the live tour

The Strictly super fan won’t be missing out on the action when the tour comes to town

JUDGE Rinder has confirmed he will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing tour – but you’ll have to be flexible if you want to see him perform.

The ITV barrister will step in to take Ed Balls’ place during the three Manchester shows after the former MP had to bail out due to prior commitments.

Following the announcement, Robert could barely contain his excitement about returning to the ballroom floor with his partner Oksana Platero.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Strictly tour in Manchester and I’m particularly excited to be performing in such an enormous arena.

“I can’t wait to share my love of dance in such an amazing city.”
Robert and Oksana left Strictly in week 11 after losing out in the dance off to finalist Ore Oduba.

The Strictly super fan was devastated when he had to leave but admitted he was proud of reaching Blackpool in the competition, which he had set as his goal.

He said: “It’s a joy to be here, every single person, there are too many people to thank but I even want to thank the judges.

“I know how difficult it is sometimes to be a judge and you do it with authenticity and enthusiasm and thank you all for your comments.”

Speaking about his relationship with Oksana, he added: “My last thank you and my most important one, this truly extraordinary person, this teacher who has shown me from somebody who could barely walk to music with no dance experience at all to find a passion and a love for dance and that’s the best kind of teaching.

“You are never too old to try something new and everyone should try dancing, thank you so much.”

On the tour, Robert will be reunited with nearly all of his series 14 co-stars, including: Danny Mac, Daisy Lowe, Lesley Joseph and Louise Redknapp.

The 30 date tour, which will visit cities across the country, will also feature Len Goodman and Craig-Revel-Horwood.
