Dan Edgar melts Towie fans’ hearts with Love, Actually approach to winning girlfriend Kate Wright back

DAN Edgar channelled his inner movie star to win back girlfriend Kate Wright on the Towie Christmas Special.
The couple split earlier this year, and have had a number of heated run ins during the latest series, with Kate eventually blocking her ex on all social media platforms.
But during the second part of the festive edition on Monday night, Dan realised the error of his ways, and decided to do what he could to win back the beauty.
With the help of his friend Diags, who dressed as a Christmas turkey, Dan stood in front of the Danielle Armstrong's shop window as Kate chatted with her friends inside, holding a series of Brussel Sprout-shaped cards.
As the girls watched on, Dan's first card read: "I know you're not talking to me, but please don't tell me to get stuffed."
He continued with his cards: "My mum told me I should always tell the truth at Christmas. So I just wanted to say..."
But ever the joker, Dan took a 'hair break', adjusting his luscious locks to make the girls giggle.
He then showed a card which read: "Even though you are slightly (very) crazy and sometimes look like this...
After showing a picture of Kate pulling a face, he continued: "This is what makes you who you are.
"And it's who you are that...I'm in love with, I always have been and I always will be.
"I love you Kate, Merry Christmas".
The cheeky chappy then finished with a wink before walking away from the shop with his pal in tow.

The scene - which was reminiscent of the moment in the classic Christmas film where Andrew Lincoln's character reveals his love for Keira Knightley's - got viewers totes emosh.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Dan totally got that idea from love actually, the cutest thing ever though," while another added: "What Dan just did for Kate was like every girls dream.
"The simple affectionate things like that are what us girls appreciate!"
Others agreed, writing: "Lol why won't someone be cute and hold up cringey messages written on cardboard brussel sprouts in a shop window for me".
A fellow viewer simply added: "Need a Dan Edgar in my life".
Dan may have been misguided in the latest series, shutting Kate down when she said she still loved him, but viewers were glad to see him come to his senses.
Another fan wrote: "Aww that was the cutest thing ever that dan just did, actions speak a lot louder than words".
Kate was blown away by Dan's gesture, declaring it the most romantic thing he had ever done for her.
Later in the episode, at the Snow Place Like Essex party, the pair finally spoke to each other, with Kate telling Dan she loved him too but wanted to take their rekindled romance slowly.
Asking if he could take her on a date, the pair ended the episode with a Christmas kiss to melt fans hearts even more.
