EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell revealed as father of Denise Fox’s baby as wife Sharon overhears her toilet confession
Hanging around in the Queen Vic's loos and Sharon heard something that will change her family forever

PHIL Mitchell has been revealed as the father of Denise Fox's baby in EastEnders.
The recovering alcoholic - who is played by actor Steve McFadden - has forgotten his drunken night of passion with shopkeeper Denise but with his ex Shirley Carter getting into her head that her ex Buster Briggs is the dad, Denise was forced into confessing - not knowing that Phil's wife Sharon was listening to every word.
Sharon looked heartbroken after hearing Denise confess she is carrying Phil's baby to an also devastated Shirley.
"Did you think that I wouldn't work it out, I know Denise," Shirley began as she cornered Denise in the Queen Vic's toilets under the mistaken assumption that her ex Buster was the father.
"All those meetings about Costmart. That was just a cover up, wasn't it? I was telling you all about him. I was telling you what I thought and all that time you two were having sex.
"I do know that I wasn't very nice to him. Tell you that did he? Pillow talk? Tell you that I'm a hard face cow? Well maybe I am but he didn't deserve nice.
"He was selfish, selfish man that was only happy when he was centre of attention and now he's done a bunk but you'd know all about that.
"I did not sleep with Buster," insisted Denise. "I wouldn't. Anyway you can think what you want because I've got enough stuff on my mind and actually it ain't any of your business."
As Shirley demanded to know the secret, Denise broke down said: "It's just a one night stand."

But she soon confessed to her liaison with Phil, adding: "You've go to promise me you don't say anything. Swear it Shirley because I'm trusting you.
"It's Phil's. It's Phil Mitchell's son."
"You're carrying his boy?" Shirley said as she became emotional. "But when? He's been at death's door. What the hell? God, he's a tart."
Denise replied: "Shirley I know you and Phil have got history but you have to keep it buttoned, you swore. You can't say anything not yet. This is seriously complicated Shirley.
"You've got to let me get through this next bit the way that I want to. Please."
