'They've lost touch with reality'

Piers Morgan slams Victoria and David Beckham and says he finds Madonna ‘excruciating’

The TV host says they will 'wreck' Cruz's life by trying to turn him into Justin Bieber while he adds that Madonna is a 'joke'

Piers Morgan is known for speaking his mind and in an exclusive interview with The Sun's TV Magazine, out this Saturday, the TV star certainly doesn't hold back.

Promoting his latest series of Life Stories with an exclusive TV Magazine photo shoot, the conversation soon turns to celebrities and it's not long before he tells us exactly what he thinks about British power couple Victoria and David Beckham.

“The Beckhams trying to turn all their kids into overnight superstars is nauseous," he says. "I have a non-existent relationship with the Beckhams. I have only met David once in my life and that was pretty tense. Victoria, I used to know quite well and we got on, but not anymore.

"I see what they are doing. Trying to turn [11-year-old] Cruz into Justin Bieber was utterly toe-curling. What are they doing to this boy? It will wreck his life in the long term. Let him go to school and be normal.

"Everything is about Brand Beckham and they have no shame. They have completely lost touch with reality and people agree with me.

"People have had enough of celebrities wanting not just their cake, but the whole confectionary shelf and guzzling it all at the same time.

"There is a real world out there, people who can’t afford to feed their kids. There are a number of unrelatable big stars now behaving like the elite and it’s nauseating.”

And Piers takes the opportunity to reiterate that he's no fan of Madonna's.

“I don’t even really know Madonna, but I find her public persona excruciating.

"She did this interview recently where she said she had been oppressed her whole life. It’s an absolute joke.

"Women terrorised by the Taliban for two decades have been oppressed; you are a multimillionaire pop star living in mansions. You are not oppressed.”
