Coronation Street spoilers: Peter Barlow left shocked when Toyah Battersby’s estranged husband gets into his cab
The recovering alcoholic is having a secret affair with Toyah but no-one knows so could her husband Toby be about to confront him?

PETER Barlow will get the shock of his life when Toyah Battersby's estranged husband gets into his cab in Coronation Street.
The recovering alcoholic has been eager to impress at his new job as a taxi driver so he can afford to live and provide for son Simon, but when his lover's husband Toby gets into the car, he's left reeling.
Not knowing whether Toby has rumbled his romance with Toyah, Peter has to do some quick thinking to make it out of the car in one piece.
It comes as Peter leaves Toyah devastated when he tells her how he doesn't want any more children - something she's desperate for.
“Toyah is devastated,” revealed actress Georgia Taylor, who plays her.
“All of a sudden, she has the choice of: ‘Does she stay with this man she loves and give up her dream
of having children, or does she give up on Peter instead?’”
So it’s perfect timing when her estranged husband Toby turns up again. Having gone through IVF together, he informs Toyah that the fertility clinic want to know what to do with their frozen embryos – and begs her for another chance.
“Toyah’s in a huge dilemma,” adds Georgia, “because Toby is offering her everything she wants and Peter isn’t, but Peter is the one she loves.”
Toyah breaks down on Leanne and comes clean about her fertility issues. As her sister digests the news, Peter gets a shock of his own when he finds out about Toyah’s IVF treatment from another source.
Reeling about what else she might have kept from him, he goes for a drink with a pretty customer, Chloe, from one of his taxi runs.

When Toyah gets wind of this, she hits the roof and they have a row, with Toyah convinced Peter’s cheated on her.
And that’s not the end of their problems, as Leanne then walks in on the couple. Has she just rumbled their romance?
“If Leanne were to find out,” warns Georgia, “she would feel betrayed and humiliated…”
