Coronation Street’s Kate Ford celebrates her 40th birthday singing co-star Kym Marsh’s HearSay hit ‘Pure and Simple’ with Samia Longchambon and Jane Danson at karaoke bar
Kate, who plays Corrie vixen Tracy Barlow, said she had the 'best night' with her pals

THE Coronation Street gals sure know how to party and Kate Ford celebrated her 40th birthday by singing her co-star Kym Marsh's HearSay hit 'Pure and Simple' at a karaoke bar.
Kate, who plays Corrie vixen Tracy Barlow, was joined by her co-stars and pals including Kate Thornton, Alison King, Samia Longchambon, Jane Danson and Shobna Gulati.
After a sophisticated dinner and drinks at The Ivy in Chelsea, the girls headed to a karaoke bar where Kym and the gals belted out some of her HearSay classics.
Some of Kate's former co-stars also turned out for the bash including Alison King, who played Carla Connor and left the ITV soap last year, as well as Shobna Gulati, who is best known for her role as Sunita Alahan.
It was clear the girls all had a brilliant night with Kym tweeting: "Had such an amazing time for @kateford76 big 40 dinner with @realsamia @RealJaneDanson and kingy! Thanks for having us kate we love you ❤️".
Kate said: "I'm so lucky to have all these girls in my life. I love you all so much."
Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, couldn't help recalling their antics in front of the mic on Saturday night.
She said: "Oh what a night ladies 😍@realsamia @msm4rsh @kateford76 highlight was singing pure and simple with u kym 😂".

But while Kym said it was "amazing" to be belting out her old hits again, she wasn't a fan of the hangover.
Samia Longchambon, known as Maria Connor to Corrie fans, admitted she was "suffering" after their night on the town.
Kym agreed saying: "hahahah I'm exhausted! I realise I am now too old to be in a karaoke bar at 3am 😂".
But it was back to work for the gals this week as storylines on the cobbles start to heat up.
Kym's chararacter Michelle and husband Steve McDonald are set to split in an explosive storyline after she discovers he's the father of Leanne's baby.
