How Beyonce managed to hide her baby bump… until her new Ivy Park promo

CRAFTY Beyonce certainly knew how to keep mum about her pregnancy in the months leading up to her big reveal.

The Crazy in Love singer shocked fans by announcing she is expecting twins with husband Jay Z in an Instagram post on Wednesday. 

Posing on an elaborate bed of roses, the 35-year-old cradled her burgeoning baby bump while wearing a berry coloured bra and pale blue frilly knickers.

While her bump is obvious now, Beyonce was very clever in how she disguised her changing shape in her last few public appearances.

She was last seen out and about just before Christmas, when she attended fellow megastar Mariah Carey's festive concert in New York.

Wearing all black, which is always a slimming colour, Bey was able to disguise any sign of a tiny bump with ease, and had the added bonus of her daughter Blue Ivy, five, and Mariah's two children and another kid standing in front of them all.

Before that, the mum-to-be appeared in a Mannequin Challenge with her Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland in early November.

While it's unlikely Bey would be showing very much at that point, the star didn't take any chances, and wore a loose red mini dress with wide sleeves, which hung perfectly across her stomach as she pretended to catch a ball being thrown by Michelle.

Around the same time, Beyonce and her rapper husband performed at a campaign event for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

However Beyonce wasn't as discreet in her latest promo video for her Ivy Park clothing range.

Despite only appearing in the footage for a few seconds, her khaki bodysuit and jacket combo was enough to show what appeared at the time as a glimpse of a bump, causing fans to speculate she was pregnant.

And just hours later, it turned out to be true, with two babies on the way later this year.
