Who’s on University Challenge tonight? Birmingham vs Edinburgh – all you need to know

THE latest round of intellectuals are pitted against one another in the show dubbed the ultimate student quiz.
And as tonight's final quarter final approaches, can expect more of the usual nail-biting viewing.

Where can I can watch tonight's episode?
The series quarter-final can be watch on BBC Two from 8pm.
If you can't be in front of your televisions at that time, catch up on the BBC's iPlayer anytime after the episode has aired.
It'll stay there for 28 days.
What teams are going head to head?
Tonight fans of the show will see the universities of Birmingham and Edinburgh challenge one another with their general knowledge.
As usual, host Jeremy Paxman leads the questioning.
Who are the students making up the University of Birmingham's team?
Representing the University of Birmingham is Jan-Smith, Sutherland, Greenlees and Rouse.
Greenlees played captain during their round one appearance in September, where they managed a surprising win over Queen's University Belfast.
At one stage the quartet had only 15 points to their opposing team's 75.
Luckily Greenlees and his crew were able to turn things around, with a score of 165 to Belfast's 105.
Who are the students on the University of Edinburgh team?
Representing the University of Edinburgh are Dale, Smith, Boyle and Goddard.
This team's moment of fame came when captain Jo Boyle mistakenly named an island off the coast of Sweden as Ireland.
Edinburgh have been close to becoming University Challenge champions in the past.
In 1981 the establishment became runners up to Queen's University Belfast.
