Hollyoaks spoilers: Shock death for beloved character as the Nightingale family face tragedy

DEATH is coming to Hollyoaks again with a Nightingale set to be killed off.

One the family will be sensationally killed off in the Channel 4 teen soap in the coming weeks it has been confirmed in a spoiler video.

"Big day today," Jared Garfield teased in a behind the scenes video. "We're filming a funeral and it's an even bigger day because we've got Linda Gray who's come back to make her Hollyoaks return.

"It's a Nightingale funeral, because Linda Gray is Nana Nightingale."

He added: "I can't tell you whose funeral it is, obviously, but I'll give you a clue - it's one of the kids."

That means either Nathan, Ellie (Sophie Porley), Alfie (Richard Linnell) or James (Gregory Finnegan) are set to meet their makers in the upcoming scenes.

Paparazzi shots from the funeral scenes had two characters missing from the action - Mac himself and James, but could one of them be dead or is the soap pulling a major switcheroo?

The shocking moment comes as Nathan's dad Mac's affair with his son's girlfriend Lisa Loveday was exposed.

Nathan (Jared Garfield) walked in on Lisa (Rachel Adedeji) and Mac (David Easter) in a compromising position just minutes after he proposed to her.

Rachel, who plays Lisa, revealed: "It just all escalates. Before Lisa can say anything or even try to explain herself it ends in a lot of tears and drama and just totally not what Lisa or Mac were expecting."

She added: "She does genuinely love Nathan and I think with Mac it’s just that lust feeling and she knows he’ll be there for her when she wants sex."

However with Nathan heartbroken, Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) decided that it was time to admit her feelings to Nathan, and tell him that she loves him.
