Black Sabbath post poignant message to confirm ‘The End’ of the band after 49 years as fans flood Twitter with tributes
Ozzy Osbourne-fronted hand are officially retiring after nearly half a century

BLACK Sabbath fans have taken to Twitter in their droves to say a final farewell to the iconic rock band.
Earlier today an obituary was posted from the group's official account featuring the logo and the dates 1968 - 2017.
The image, in the band's recognisable purple colour, prompted an emotional outpouring, with one fan even begging for it not to be "the real end".
Adding extra pain to the tweet was a broken link - leaving fans wondering what else they have lost forever.
One wrote: "Almost the big 50. Was fun while it lasted."
Black Sabbath's founding members, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, took on a gruelling 81-date global tour to say a final farewell after almost 50 years in the band.
Their final performance was on the 4th February in their home city of Birmingham, but fans were able to tune in via their Facebook page.
Ozzy, who had previously claimed he might cry as the band finished their final song, simply said to the crowd: "Thank you, goodnight, thank you so much."
Sadly for fans hoping for another outing of the Sweet Leaf legends, Ozzy previously said: "This is it, it's definitely run it's course."
It is thought that the main reason for the band to finally pack up was because of guitarits Tony, 69, being diagnosed with cancer in 2012, although he now has the all clear.
One person who might be relieved the band's days on the road have come to an end is Ozzy's wife Sharon, who revealed he was suffering from sex addiction during the tour.

The rock star put his marriage in jeopardy when he cheated with his hairdresser - and when their affair was made public, he issued a statement saying he was “mortified” and seeking therapy.
However, he later backtracked and said he is not a sex addict – just an unlucky rockstar.
“I’m in a f***ing rock band, aren’t I?” he told the Times. “There have always been groupies. I just got caught, didn’t I? It was a bump in the road.
“I don’t think I’m a f***ing sex addict.”
This contradicts claims he made in August after hair stylist Michelle Pugh told People magazine she had a “very real relationship” with the rocker, lasting four years.
At the time he issued a statement, saying: “Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a sex addiction. Out of bad comes good. Since the press exposed this, I have gone into intense therapy.”
