And the Emmerdale actor couldn't resist poking fun at his co-star Danny Miller on Twitter following the dramatic break-up up of Aaron Dingle (Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) in last night's episode.
The much loved couple have been affectionately branded Robron by fans, and after the episode showed Rob drunkenly kissing his ex Rebecca White, Adam tweeted his pal: "How does it feel to be just aaron again?? @DannyBMiller #riprobron"
Unwilling to take the jibe lying down, Danny hit back: "Stop trying to worm your way in @adamthomas21 you had your chance and you blew it. With Aaron, not the jungle."
Adam had already incurred the wrath of upset fans after he tweeted "Robron #rip 😎👻".
He soon tried to calm things down, writing: "😂😂😂 u guys been on form nice to know u care about robron so much and the show genuinely ! It will all work out in the end don't stress haha"
Fans were left stunned when Robert sought comfort from Rebecca following an emotional altercation with Aaron who had turned to drugs in prison.

He proceeded to get into a drunken stupor and smashed up his flat before ringing up Rebecca.
The pair continued to discuss Robert's crumbling marriage, before Rebecca took away his bottle of booze prompting him to grab her hand and tell her he had missed her.
He added: “No seriously, things haven’t been the same for me and Aaron since you turned up. We were good together weren’t we?”
But when Robert leaned in for a kiss she dodged it and left.
But later he tried it on again, kissing her neck.
Rebecca remarked: “I thought Aaron was supposed to be the self-destructive one.”
He replied: “He can be what he likes, we’re over.”
She told him: “Stop kidding yourself, you love each other.”
When Robert continued to kiss her she told him to go to bed.
He then said: “Me and Chrissie, it was the biggest mistake of my life,” before telling her that maybe this was their chance to get it right.
Robert leaned in and passionately kissed her, and this time she gave in.
