BRITAIN’S Got Talent viewers were left in tears tonight as The Missing People Choir auditioned for the show in the hope of raising awareness of their missing loved ones.
The charity choir – which includes Claudia Lawrence’s dad Peter, and Manic Street Preachers singer Richey Edwards' sister Rachel, sung a haunting version of I Miss You and brought Simon, Alesha, David and Amanda to tears.
Standing in the wings, Ant McPartin couldn’t hold back his emotions and started to wipe away tears.
At home viewers were just as emotional and took to twitter to share their heartbreak and respect for the choir.
One wrote: “& I'm crying 😭😭😭 I don't know how these people manage to be so positive #MissingPeopleChoir #BGT #BritainsGotTalent”
Another added: “Crying at this man whose son went missing. Jesus i cannot control my emotions today 😩💔 #BritainsGotTalent”

Following the performance Amanda said: “I’m glad you’ve turned such a dreadful thing into something so positive, which will hopefully help other families who have people who are lost.”
And Simon added: “First of all I have to pay you absolute respect for what toyu[ve done, sometimes I think awareness is as important as anything else, it’s incredible.”
