BRITAIN’S Got Talent legend Susan Boyle is back in the studio – six years after calling time on her chart career.

The Scots singer took to Instagram to share a picture of herself in the recording booth, and revealed it had been an emotional return, having battled a series of health conditions including Type 2 diabetes and a stroke in 2022.

Talking about returning to music, Susan said: “Today was wonderful, emotional, and everything in between.

“I made my return to the recording studio for the first time in six years, something I was told I might never achieve again. But here we are, in my happy place!

“I want to thank my manager, Geraldine, for being my rock through everything and for helping me get back to where I belong. A million thanks.”

Susan became an overnight sensation in 2009 after her jaw-dropping audition for Simon Cowell And Co on BGT with Les Miserables classic I Dreamed A Dream.

BRUCE ISN’T JUST ANY  STAR . . .

MANCHESTER has become like a second home to Bruce Springsteen after he played three huge sold out shows at the city’s Co-op Live Arena.

During his stay, The Boss has been spotted doing a bit of shopping in M&S as well as Selfridges, and stunned dog walkers when he was seen having a stroll around Heaton Park.

Like Madonna before him Bruce, booked out the entirety of Gary Neville's Stock Exchange Hotel for his team, with the 40-room booking costing around £23,000 a night.

I headed up to see him in action over the weekend and was lucky enough to watch from the brand new Barclays VIP space at Co-op Live.

And today Barclays VIP has announced they are now the principal partner of London’s O2 Arena and a founding partner of Co-op Live.

Bruce and his E Street Band were incredible.

I can’t wait for his next visit.

THE first single from Just For One Day: The Live Aid Musical has been released, and it’s a radical reimagining of Elton John's I’m Still Standing.

The track is part of the soundtrack for the hit show, which will be released in full on July 11.

The musical itself is currently on at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End.

IT’S OASIS TICKETS: ROUND II

A LUCKY few Oasis fans got the chance to land tickets to their huge comeback gigs in a top-secret resale yesterday.

A pal of mine, who was sent a code to try for a “limited amount of tickets”, was told by staff for Noel and Liam Gallagher, they had been identified as a “loyal fan” who did not already have tickets to the shows.

And after the horrendous rush the first time around, this sale was dreamy, apparently – with just over 1,000 people in the queue for one of the Wembley gigs.

If you were one of the lucky few tipped off for the ballot, I hope you managed to secure your place this time.

SMURF BABE RIRI

RIHANNA is getting into the spirit of her new Smurfs movie – by dressing as one, all in blue.

She also showed off her baby bump as she hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, hand in hand with rapper partner A$AP Rocky.

The pair were attending the premiere of Spike Lee crime thriller Highest 2 Lowest.

But Diamonds singer RiRi might really be feeling as blue as her dress after learning about the chart performance of her single Friend Of Mine, which came out on Friday and is on the soundtrack of her upcoming film, in which she voices Smurfette.

It looks set to miss the Top 40 in the UK singles chart.

The house-influenced banger – on which she barely actually sings – isn’t for everyone and certainly suggests a new direction for RiRi.

She recently teased that her next album, which has been almost a decade in the making, will be very different from the music she has made before. So perhaps this is a taste of things to come.

IT looks like actor Harris Dickinson may have whisked his girlfriend Rose Gray up the aisle – just a month after I told how he had popped the question.

Rising pop star Rose prompted a flurry of congratulatory messages when she shared photos on Instagram which appeared to show her wearing a golden wedding band next to her engagement ring.

Heart-throb Harris, who starred opposite Nicole Kidman in last year’s Babygirl and will play John Lennon in the upcoming Beatles biopics, has been enjoying time with his girl at Cannes Film Festival this week.

And it was from there in the South of France that Rose posted the snaps.

She has had some down time after supporting Sugababes on their UK arena tour last month, and is now gearing up to release a collaboration with US stars Kesha and Slayyyter, before joining them and the Scissor Sisters on tour in America this summer.

Harris and Rose are a real It Couple right now – and if they’ve tied the knot in secret, I couldn’t be happier for them.

IT'S MUTT BELLAMY

BY day he’s the frontman of one of my favourite rock bands, Muse.

But when he’s off duty, Matt Bellamy loves nothing more than hanging out with his dogs – and over the weekend in London he entered his pooch into a show at the Primrose Hill Fair.

Unfortunately for Matt, my friend Caroline’s gorgeous miniature schnauzer Arnie trounced the competition and finished in first place, at the grand old age of 13.

But Matt was a very gracious loser and posed for a picture with Arnie in a nearby boozer afterwards.

Arnie, you’re a champion. Now and always.
