OLLY Murs has cancelled his concert in Birmingham tonight - hours before he was due on stage.

The 40-year-old was forced to pull out of a show in Glasgow last night after falling ill.

And Olly took to Instagram this afternoon to tell fans he's still too unwell to perform.

He said: "To everyone in Manchester and Birmingham I’m deeply sorry but I am unfortunately going to have to cancel my shows there this weekend.

"I have contracted a respiratory infection and have been instructed to go on a strict 48 hour voice rest by the doctor to ensure no further damage to my vocal chords."

Fans were stunned when pop star Olly was forced to end his set last night after five songs.

He told the audience: "This has never happened to me before but you can hear my voice is going.

"I want to give you the concert you deserve so I can't go on.

"I'm going to come back, but I need to go now."

Devastated Olly admitted letting his fans down has "hit him hard".

He said: "I was panicking and worrying on what to do which gave me no choice but to address it.

"The thought of upsetting people and letting you the fans down has hit me hard today.
