Who is Charlie Hunnam? King Arthur Legend of the Sword actor and Pacific Rim star – all you need to know
The Newcastle-born star who's set to be catapulted into the Hollywood A-list

CHARLIE Hunnam is set to be catapulted into the Hollywood A-list with the release of new film King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
With five sequels still to come, it seems like Charlie is here to stay. But how much is the actor worth and what other projects does he have lined up? Here's the lowdown on the Newcastle native.
Who is Charlie Hunnam? What has he been in?
Charlie Hunnam, 37, is an English-born actor who has transitioned from British TV star to Hollywood action hero.
At 18-years-old Charlie landed his first major role when cast as Nathan Maloney in Channel 4's hit sitcom Queer As Folk.
Soon after Queer as Folk came to an end in 2000, Charlie moved to Los Angeles in search for more high profile acting roles.
He's most known for his role in US TV hit Sons of Anarchy where he played tattooed outlaw Jax Teller.
Charlie also had a leading role in 2013's Pacific Rim.
Who does he play in King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword?
Charlie Hunnam plays the lead role in Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword. Starring opposite David Beckham, Jude Law and Poppy Delevingne, Charlie's take on the King Arthur legend is much more edgy and modern than previous film adaptations.
Speaking at the London premiere, Charlie revealed how he was destined for the role: "As a child I spent a lot of time in the back alleys with my sword pretending to be King Arthur so cut to thirty years later and to actually be hired by Guy Ritchie - who is one of my favourite directors - that felt pretty significant to me."
How much is Charlie Hunnam worth and is he single?
In 2015 it was reported that Charlie was worth £8million but that figure is likely to have risen as he has since secured several big acting roles.
Charlie lives on a ranch outside of Los Angeles with girlfriend Morgana McNeils.
The couple have reportedly been dating since 2005.
Where can I see Charlie Hunnam next?
Fans of hunky Charlie can next see him in a remake of 1973 prison escape movie Papillon.
It's also been reported that King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword is the first of six movies, so expect to see Charlie and his mighty sword for at least the next ten years.
Despite having a leading role in Pacific Rim, Charlie won't be part of the highly anticipated sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising due to scheduling conflicts.
