Shayne Lynch reveals he couldn’t sing OR dance when he auditioned for Boyzone and was picked because of his looks

SHANE Lynch has revealed the REAL reason he got into Boyzone - and it WASN'T down to talent.
The hunky Irishman confessed on Sunday Brunch that he actually couldn't sing OR dance, and was chosen based on his looks.
When asked by host Tim Lovejoy how the band came together the tattooed star said: "It was a real weird thing that happened.
"I was working for my father as a car mechanic and I got kicked out of school early and I went into a trade.
"My dad had his own workshop, so I was working for him, and in my mind I was gonna takeover the family business.
"Then this guy, who I was in school with knocked on my door one evening and said 'I want to start this band up, you know like a singing and dancing band like Take That, and you kinda look like the right guy for that.'
"But I just responded 'Look dude I'm not a singer or a dancer, I'm a car mechanic.'"

He went on: "But to cut a long story short I went along to the auditions and got into one of the biggest bands in the world, by pure fluke, luck and chance.
"See I wasn't meant to be in that band, I just took a bit of gamble and here I am!"
Tim then asked Shane what his dad said, when he told him he wanted to be in a boyband.
Shane then recounted a funny story between him and his father, who was also his boss at the garage where he worked, he said: "My dad's a hard man.
"It doesn't matter if it's rain, sleet, snow or whatever, you are under that car and fixing it.
"So when I said, 'listen Dad, I need the morning off work to go and see a manager about being in a band', he said, 'Tell me something now son, do you sing?' I said 'no', he said 'What instrument do you play?' I said 'I don't play any instruments', he said 'So what are you going to do in this band?' I said 'I don't really know', he said 'OK, be back by two o'clock.'"
Shane was on the show to talk about Boyzone's forthcoming 25th anniversary tour.
The Sun exclusively announced the band would be reuniting in 2018 to celebrate their milestone.
Shane along with Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham will be hitting the road again to perform to their army of fans.
At the height of their fame in the Nineties Boyzone sold 25million records worldwide, scoring six chart-topping singles and four No1 albums.
They know exactly how to do a reunion, too.
After splitting up in 2000 they re-formed in 2008 for a blockbuster world tour and greatest hits album.
But sadly just one year later founding member Stephen Gately was found dead at his home in Majorca.
