FIRST Dates experienced one its most awkward moments ever tonight after a woman asked her date what his NAME was mid-meal.
Milo, 24, from Fulham, London, was on a date with Angelica, 26, from London when things took a cringe-worthy turn.
Milo, who owns a dog running business and lives at home with his parents, seemed to have plenty in common with Angelica – who volunteers at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
But their love for animals did little to add to the success of the date - which could possibly be the most awkward date the First Dates restaurant has ever seen.
After the pair were seated at the table, Angelica, whose nickname is Jelly, “like the food”, decided to take aim at Milo’s career choice – calling it a “doss”.
Taken aback by her response to his dog running company, Milo said: “It’s not a doss, it’s hectic!”
And Jelly didn’t leave it there, her flirting tactics seemingly favouring the “treat them mean” approach.
She added: “I thought you were going to be one of these ‘city w******’”, before the moment is saved when they both agree they are doing what they love.
The pair even share a high-five before things get even more uncomfortable.
When it comes to choosing the wine, Milo says he’d like the Merlot – a choice which Angelica deems “bland and s***”.
MOST READ IN LIVING
She then goes straight in on Milo’s income in context to where he lives, adding: “I’ve done the calculations and I don’t think your job pays you enough money [to live in Fulham].”
Milo then admits that he lives with his parents – which leads to more of a grilling.
Angelica says: “If you’re going to go on a date with somebody and shag them afterwards, you’re presumably going to go to the girl’s house."
Milo replies: “Well, I’d always try and go to where they live and be really nice, like ‘I’ll come to you’."
Angelica then cuts in: “I literally never invite anyone back to my house. Ever.”
And while that may have seen like a clear answer to where the date was heading, things then got even worse – as Angelica needed to be reminded of her date’s name.
She announced: “Can I tell you something… I’ve forgotten your name.
“What’s your first name again?”
When Milo laughs and sheepishly repeats his name, Angelica is no less relentless.
She exclaims: “Milo? Oh god, you’re a posh dog!
“Posh dogs are called Milo!”
Viewers were left shocked at the name-forgetting gaffe.
One Twitter user wrote: "Angelica is such a cow. 'Posh dogs are called Milo.' How rude!"
Another added: "Err, this girl is skanky, did she come to date the poor boy or come to slander him?"
At this point, when asked how he thought the date was going, Milo assumed that things were going well, despite the awkward moments.
He told the cameras: “She came on quite strong and quite fiery – but I don’t mind that.
“She was teasing me, but a little bit of teasing, that’s flirting.”
But, his hopes were dashed when it came to finding out if Jelly wanted to see him again.
Milo told the show: “I wouldn’t mind another date – you’re a quite interesting person.”
However, Angelica, asked: “Do I have to be honest right now?"
Milo then said: “Just say no”, before Angelic flatly answered “No.”
Angelica added: “You need to hold your own. If you’re nice to me on a date, you’re not getting a second date.”
Milo replied: “She’s crazy”
“That’s not the first time I’ve heard that," Angelica admitted.
First Dates is on Channel 4, Tuesdays at 10pm.
Last week, the show experienced a similarly awkward moment when man told his shocked date to go home as he didn’t fancy him.
