BIG Brother may be facing an investigation by Ofcom after the watchdog received a number of complaints over a "race row" that took place last night.

In a series of heated arguments across the evening, Hannah and Deborah Agboola expressed their concerns that their behaviour was being labelled aggressive, at least in part, because they're black.

Following the scenes, fans were left divided on Twitter - while others felt the intentions behind the argument was clear and reported the argument to the complaints board.

An Ofcom spokesperson said: "We have received nine complaints relating to alleged racism in last night's episode of Big Brother. We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate."

The Sun Online has reached out to Big Brother for comment.

The evening's arguments came after Hannah first took exception to Ellie Young and Chanelle McCleary helping themselves to their dinner before everyone else had the chance.

Branded 'selfish' by Imran, Hannah then stepped in to agree, but Lotan followed suit in defence of the two girls.

A heated argument quickly escalated between the housemates, with Hannah later telling the diary room: "When you're a black girl, they like to take advantage of you and try to get the worst out of you.

"I am Hannah, before colour. I am Hannah, before being 22. I am Hannah, before being Nigerian"

Viewers later watched as Deborah Agboola and Rebecca Jane locked horns in another argument when Deborah claimed she felt victimised after Rebecca branded her "aggressive".

Lashing out, Deborah told Rebecca: "I'm cool with everyone, I don't know about this aggressive stuff. You're the one who's going psycho for someone who doesn't even want you."

Deborah was referencing the suggested sexual tension between Rebecca and her real life colleague and current housemate Kieran Lee.

Rebecca snapped:  "Are you f**king for real?! That's a low blow... F**k off. You're just nasty, nasty."

Lotan then jumped in again told Deborah not to get personal, at which point she explained she felt she had already been attacked on a personal level.

"If someone tells me I'm being aggressive, what do you think I am? I will go personal, that's something I do, that's what I do," she said.

"If I took away my skin colour - and I'm going to take it there - no one would say I'm aggressive," she said.

Rebecca insisted: "This has nothing to do with that."

But Deborah continued: "If you walked in my shoes every day and spoke the way I spoke and 10 million people told you you're aggressive... I take that [being called aggressive] personally."
