LOVE Island viewers were stunned by the amount of smoking that took place in Monday night's episode.
Nearly every single contestant was seen puffing away on a cigarette at one point during the airing on ITV2, with fans seeming most surprised to notice Camilla Thurlow and Chris Hughes joining in the smoking.
At one point, viewers claimed to spot eight cigarette packets on the table as contestants chatted away.
Fans flocked to Twitter as one wrote: "Soooo much smoking on Love Island! I'm more shocked by the constant fag-in-mouth than the bed hopping."
Another mused: "Wonder if smoking was in the criteria to go on Love Island."
While one viewer stated: "Disgusted by the constant smoking on #loveisland yuck! How about this week's challenge involves quitting? Bad example and influence."
Another tweeted: "so hard watching love island when your trying to quit smoking."
While one wrote: "So disappointed in Camilla for smoking, I thought better of you Cam mate #Loveisland."
One viewer wrote: "An hour of smoking #loveisland."
While another complained: "Love Island still not doing it for me. More smoking going on than actual drama. Hopefully ex on the beach is better."
Another asked:"Why is it that in the majority of clips that you show on ITV2, there is someone smoking a cigarette. #LoveIsland #notsocool."
One viewer tweeted: "These girls on love island are real life chimneys, always smoking."
Another admitted: "I must be getting so old... I watch #LoveIsland and rather than just enjoy it, I fret about all these lovely young girls smoking."
While one wrote: "WTF is it was everyone smoking in #LoveIsland didn't used to bother me but now just looks disgusting!"
A spokesman for Ofcom confirmed two complaints were made about the smoking onscreen, and they will assess them before deciding whether to investigate.
