Kate Bottley is a reverend who rose to public prominence on Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Kate, 43, was approached to appear on the show after a YouTube video of a wedding she was officiating went viral and gained over seven million views thanks to a flashmob dance routine.

Speaking of her decision to go on Gogglebox, Kate has said: "We wanted to show people that just because we have a faith and are Christians, it doesn't mean we are four-headed.

"We watch telly like everybody else, we have arguments - we are normal people."

Gogglebox fanatics will already know that Kate is married to husband Graham Bottley.

They met in school when both aged 13 years old but didn't begin dating until they were 18.

Together they have two children, Ruby and Arthur.

What is Gogglebox and how long was Kate on the show for?

Gogglebox shows ordinary members of the British public discuss and dissect the week's best TV shocks, scandals and surprises.

Filmed in the comfort of the families' homes, audiences instantly fell in love with the show thanks to the down-to-earth cast and the emotional topics.

Kate Bottley joined the award-winning series in 2014 and stayed for five series.

Her last Gogglebox appearance was in 2016 as she took time to focus on other TV projects and family life.

How much do the Gogglebox families get paid?

A Gogglebox insider told The Sun Online that each of the families taking part are handed a monthly family allowance of £1,500.

The amount is then split amongst contributing family members at their own discretion.

The monthly wage comes with its own added perks and each of the families receives free takeaways to keep them going through each sitting.

In exchange for the £1,500 fee (and free food) each of the families are expected to commit to 12 hours of filming a week across two six-hour shifts.

What is Pilgrimage: The Road to Santiago about?

Actor Neil Morrissey, entertainer Debbie McGee, comedian Ed Byrne, singer Heather Small, priest Kate Bottley, journalist Raphael Rowe join ex-marine JJ Chalmers to live as modern day pilgrims, staying in basic hostels and often sleeping in dormitories, on bunk beds.

Pilgrims who walk all of the Camino take at least a month.

But with just over two weeks on the road, the seven travelled some of the route by minibus, until they reached the final 100km, when they walked every step of the way.
