Big Brother moves live eviction show indoors as viewers joke that the crowd ‘hasn’t turned up’

Fans plead for answers as the show moves entire eviction episode to poky interior interview room after massive holes appeared in the outside crowd space last week

BIG Brother viewers were left scratching their heads tonight as the live eviction show took place indoors - leading some to suggest the crowd "hadn't turned up" outside.

As the show's viewing figures and popularity continues to dwindle, viewers were speculating that Channel 5 scrapped the usual outdoor set-up after barely any members of the public turned up last week.

The events of the show were hosted from the tiny "Orbit" interview room where host Emma Willis usually chats to the evictees after they've made their dramatic exit.

And seeing as last week, there were several gaping holes in the standing areas reserved for the crowd, it seems Channel 5 have cut their losses.

Only a couple of dozen people seemed to be seated around the stage, and host Emma even commented on the change, saying brightly: "It's nice in here, isn't it?"

One fan watching at home wrote on Twitter: "Wow the eviction crowd for big brother is now confined to the interview room.

"What's gone so wrong his year???"

Another asked: "Hosting  from inside the studio because they can't draw the crowds for outside? #BigBrother."

The Sun contacted Channel 5 for comment as fans continue asking for answers.

Evicted housemate Simone was not given a proper eviction from the house in front of a live audience this week, due to a task called The Hunt which went on in the middle of Thursday night.

The "prankster" was instead fast-tracked to the studio room for her interview, in which she got emotional about how she wanted to get away from her tough life of domestic abuse by having fun in the house.

She said: “Growing up as a child I witnessed heavy drug taking, I've not had a father until I was 18, I visited prisons for half of my childhood.

"I’ve witnessed a lot of domestic violence and lost my 18 year old brother not long ago and that's why I didn’t want to go in that house and take it serious, I just wanted to go in and have a laugh.”

Asked why housemates might have found her constant laughter patronising, she added: “That's my getaway place, when I’m feeling intimidated or nervous or I’m put in a stressful situation it’s just the way I deal with it.

"I try to laugh and make it happy and try to forget it's even happening. I don’t want to shout and scream because I have dealt with all that in my life before this."

The Stockton native broke down in tears and said: "[The housemates] thought I was dizzy, I'm not. I'm just me. I've been through a lot of stuff."

She added: "It's just such a rollercoaster in there, you wouldn't know unless you've been in."

Later in the show a bizarre eviction format change saw Sue and Chanelle compete to remain in the house - and housemates chose who to save.

Chanelle won by a landslide and Sue was forced to leave without a proper eviction walk or exit out the main door.
