ANDREW Cruickshanks has pulled a blinder on Big Brother - and turned an £18,900 windfall from the prize fund to £33,900 by evicting Sam Chaloner.

However, in an awkward twist, the pair will now have to live together for the next three days, as Sam won't be leaving the house until FRIDAY.

Andrew makes his decision just hours after telling the diary room that he wasn't "motivated by money" and wasn't trying too hard to get it.

When the decision was made, he offered to give Sam something from his prize pot as an apology - but the newly chucked housemate didn't believe him.

On tonight's show, the housemates were pitted against each other to win the lump sum after spending the week taking part in a trial called The Steal.

At the beginning of the week, the group were split into two teams and told that they had to work together to win back £20k Big Brother had taken from the final prize fund.

After winning back a respectable £18,900, they were then told the twist - that only one person could take home the money.

But it also came with the cost that they had to evict a housemate, and if noone buzzed the money would be gone forever.

After a klaxon sounds, 'second chance housemate' Andrew hit the buzzer first - and after thinking about it, decides to send home fellow second chancer Sam.

Andrew and Sam were in the running to win £15,000 after they were brought in late to the game alongside Sue Evans and Simone Reed.

They were told the last housemate standing from the four would win the pot - and after Sue and Simone were evicted last week, Andrew cut out his last competition.

This means that he will now walk out of the house with £33,900 of the final prize money, regardless of whether or not he wins the entire show.

Whoever wins the show will now only take home £65,000 despite entering the house thinking they were in with the chance of bagging £100,000.

The remaining £1,100 has been lost by the other housemates after they gave into temptations put in their way throughout this week.

Among the prizes on offer, Chanelle McCleary spent £400 for a night with her boyfriend, and had sex with him in a secret hideaway and Sam and in-house love Ellie Young spent £400 to do the same (but didn't go all the way).

Raph spent £150 to spend time with former winner Josie Gibson and Isabelle Warburton spent £150 on a phone call home.
