Towie’s Chris Clark admits he DID dump Little Mix star Jesy Nelson by text… and he used girlfriend Amber Dowding’s phone to send the message
CHRIS Clark has revealed he dumped Little Mix star Jesy Nelson by text – using his new girlfriend and co-star Amber Dowding’s phone.
The Towie hunk, 23, hit back at critics by saying there was no other way to end the romance with Jesy away on tour.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column while filming Towie's Marbella special, Chris's girlfriend Amber revealed that he ended his fling with Jesy by using her phone.
Speaking alongside girlfriend Amber, he said: “I was never going to escape it. I had to just deal with it."
Amber added: “It wasn’t my relationship but all I can say on Chris’s behalf is that it wasn’t done in a negative way.
"She was on the other side of the world, there was no other way for him to do it
“He wasn’t 100 per cent in the relationship and he had to end it when he ended it and that was that. He didn't want to do it by phone, it was the only type of contact he had with her at that time. I don’t want him to ever receive a backlash from it.
“In life you have to think about yourself and be selfish sometimes.”
Chris added: "It has happened, it has been and gone."
The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed Chris dumped Jesy while she was away on tour in the US and gave little reason for his decision.
But now it’s clear that Chris and Amber were always set to reignite their romance – with the pair confirming their relationship is better now than it’s ever been.
Amber said: “We understand each other a lot more now. We’ve come back together and it just works.”
The pair got back together in April shortly after Chris ended his romance with the pop star.
Jesy was quick to delete all trace of Chris from her Instagram and removed loved-up photos of the pair from her account.

She has since moved on with singer Harry James and the pair have already taken their romance to the next level by enjoying a sunshine break in Mykonos.
They were seen holding hands and taking pictures together, with pals saying they are completely smitten for each other.
