When is Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling being shown on BBC One?
The adaptation of JK Rowling's first Strike book, The Cuckoo's Calling, premiered on Sunday August 27 at 9.00pm on BBC1.
The second episode airs the following night at the same time, with the third and final part of the story broadcast on Sunday September 3.
Then episode three, four and five of the series will air on September 3, 10 and 17.
The air dates for the final two episodes - based on novel sequel The Silkworm - are yet to be announced.
What is Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling about?
Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling is based on a 2013 novel Rowling wrote under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith, before her cover was blown soon after publication.
The series follows the book's protagonist, struggling private detective Cormoran Strike, who is hired to explain the death of famous model Lula Landry.
He soon finds himself caught up in a celebrity world of filth and scandal that he's been trying to avoid - as the illegitimate son of a rock star.
Matters get more complex when Strike's new temp Robin begins to uncover her boss’s own dark and mysterious past.
Which actors are in Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling?
Tom Burke, who previously starred in War And Peace, plays the lead role of Cormoran Strike.
You may also know him from The Musketeers and the movie Only God Forgives.
Playing Strike's assistant Robin is Holliday Grainger, known for Great Expectations, Anna Karenina and The Borgias.
Judge John Deed star Martin Shaw, Tara Fitzgerald from Game Of Thrones and Amber Anderson from The Riot Club also star in supporting roles.
