BBC fuming as darts fans show off rude signs on telly before the watershed at the Champions League of Darts
Fans are given pens and blank cards to write encouraging messages of support for players

THE BBC is set for showdown talks with darts chiefs after fans were seen on TV waving rude messages and pictures.
Offensive banners included a cartoon penis and a string of four-letter expletives.
Viewers were also subjected to swearing from the crowd during live BBC2 coverage of the Champions League of Darts.
Beeb bosses fear a backlash over the explicit content as cameras scanned the crowd at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.
The incidents happened last Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
The cartoon willy appeared during a match between Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis.
Fans are given the pens and blank cards on which to write messages of support for players.
Sources said bosses will now meet with event organisers the Professional Darts Corporation.
An insider said: “These slo-gans and pics are an editing nightmare.”
A BBC spokesman said: “The director changed shots so that offensive signs were taken off screen straight away.”
