X FACTOR’S Scarlett Lee had viewers baffled tonight with her mega fake tanned face.
The 19-year-old makeup artist left the judges confused as to whether or not to put her through, but while they dealt with that, viewers were busy trying to work out what she’d done with her makeup.
The singer appeared to have applied some very deep fake tan, which she accentuated with bright orange eyeshadow, some bright highlighter, and deep purple lip liner.
She complimented the bold makeup look with a bright orange Bardot style dress.
And fans of the show were perturbed by the attractive singer’s beauty choices.
One commented: “Yikes! That's so much orange make up. Hiding her lovely face #XFactor”
Another added: “Give her some exfoliator to get a couple layers of tan off and she would be so good #xfactor”
A third laughed: “This girls fake tan is darker than my natural skin colour ... I'm Indian 😂 #xfactor”
A fourth person asked: “Did Scarlett fall into a vat of wood stain on the way to her audition? #XFactor”
And some else wondered: “Why did none of her supportive family tell her about her makeup 😫 bless her! #XFactor”
Others made reference to other famous orange people.
One fan tweeted: “If David Dickinson and Dale Winton had a kid even that wouldn't be as tanned as this lass on Xfactor!! Christ 😳 #XFactor”
Someone else compared her to one of the orange Oompa Loompas in Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
And another made reference to the old Orange adverts, joking: “The future is bright the future is Scarlett #XFactor” and “I wouldn't want her doing my makeup 🙈 #XFactor”
However despite her makeup being the talk of those at home, the judges were torn trying to decide whether she was good enough for the competition.
In the end she got through with three yeses and a no from Sharon.
