STRICTLY CHA-CHA CHEESY

Strictly Come Dancing’s judges claimed to ‘love’ routines a staggering 44 times on Saturday night

STRICTLY’S judges were lost for words after seeing the celebrities’ last routines — gushing about their “love” for them 44 times.

They favoured schmaltz over the waltz, but struggled to find other words to describe how much they liked the dances.

Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli told the stars how much they loved their performances using variations of “love” and “I loved it”.

Presenter Tess Daly, 48, also got in on the act, asking Shirley, 57, if she “loved” former JLS member Aston Merrygold’s efforts.

Shirley said: “I loved it, loved it and loved it some more.

“I did mention about your feet last week. They’re slightly sickled. Don’t make me mention it a third time. But other than that, I loved it.”

And co-host Claudia Winkleman, 45, urged viewers who “loved” Aston’s routine to vote for him.

New head judge Shirley even told Holby City star Chizzy Akudolu, 43, “I love your personality” — before the judges axed her and she became the first to leave the BBC show.
