Prue Leith gives Piers Morgan the ‘death stare’ on Good Morning Britain as she shuts down questions about Bake Off

PRUE Leith put Piers Morgan FIRMLY in his place as she gave the Good Morning Britain host the ultimate "death stare" when he dared to quiz her about Bake Off.
The culinary whizz appeared on today's ITV show to chat about the poor standards of hospital food - and was left irked when the presenter tried to angle the conversation on her Channel 4 show with Paul Hollywood.
Piers told Prue, 77, he had watched last night's foodie show - which moved from the BBC to its rival broadcaster this year - and continued: "I've got to say, it feels like it hasn't missed a beat.
"And you are brutal.
"I mean I thought I was a tough judge on these things, but you! Wow! You get your drizzle wrong!" to which the chef uttered a laugh.
He continued: "Do you like doing it?
She bluntly replied: "I love it, its lovely" as a mildly shocked Piers, sensing her sharp attitude, retorted: "Look at you giving me the death stare."
Susanna, picking up on Prue's icy tone, interjected: "In Prue's eyes, I can see, 'I'm here to talk about hospital food'."
Prue, who wore cute strawberry earrings to match her pink top, agreed: "You've got it, you've got it.
"I shall give you a tough stare - we are here to talk about hospital food."
Piers, who is not used to being put in his place, said: "OK, well let's just do what you would like to do."
Meanwhile his long-suffering co-presenter Susanna was left giggling and at the end of the segment said: "It's the best death stare I have ever seen.
"It really stopped him in his tracks."
During her interview, Prue used the time to urge the NHS to take hospital meals seriously.
She revealed the Care Quality Commission does not oversee the grub served up on medical wards, while 30% of people leave hospital worse nourished than when they are admitted.
She told the show: "Food is health
"If you don't eat well, you wont get well."
Piers was later put in his place by Pointless host Richard Osman, who branded him a 'loser' - before the broadcaster threw a strop and hurled his own show trophy across the studio.
