LETHAL Bizzle has demanded Love Island stars Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay pay him after they used his phrase without his permission in their new rap single Little Bit Leave It.
The 33-year-old grime legend - who has been associated with the famous line "leave it" after he dropped his single Leave It Yeah in 2011 - is furious with the reality duo after they weaved his catchphrase into their track without crediting him.
Bizzle - whose real name is Maxwell Owusu Ansah - released a video on Twitter expressing how annoyed he was over the rap.
He said: "You couldn't leave me alone init. Kem and his other brother - I dunno what his name is - Ross, you took my phrase fam. Cool, I want everyone to use my phrase.
"Everyone knows I make up words but when you want to go and do a song and make money from them then I have a problem with that.
"So we need to have a conversation. Shabs - the guy who signed the record - I know him very well. I'm a very reasonable person so let's just get this sorted out before it goes anywhere else because it doesn't need to go anywhere else.
"I wasn't even f***ing bothered about it to be honest, it was the people that made me realise: 'Yo, Biz, are you getting a percentage out of that?' And I sat down and I thought: 'Hang on a minute, I should be getting a percentage out of this, shouldn't I?' "
The Go Hard hitmaker insists he doesn't "need the money" but it's the "principle."
He explained: "I don't need the money but the principle is you're taking the piss. And you're not even crediting where you got the phrase from. You're using it like you made it popular. So listen, we need to have a conversation. Shabs, call me!"
Bizzle then followed it up by claiming that he was asked to jump on the track but he declined and wasn't aware of the lyrics or the title when he was first approached.
He said: "The label asked me if I wanna jump on the Kemp & Ross new single, I declined. I didn't hear it or know the tilte was #LittleBitLeaveIt (sic)."
The Love Island stars debuted their track yesterday and it has soared to the top of the iTunes chart.
But it seems Bizzle isn’t the only one who is annoyed as their former Islander Marcel also posted a cryptic tweet reminding the pair about his involvement in the song.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, Marcel wrote: "Boys the tune sounds sick!!! I hope u did the right thing with the chorus & bars I wrote."
Kem and Chris had first created the song in the Love Island villa alongside Marcel as a part of a talent show task.
The trio - who were called Run KMC - worked together on the lyrics while Marcel also created the beat on a keyboard that was provided for them.
