Katie Price ‘trying to make friends with’ Amir Khan’s ex Faryal as she thinks they’re BOTH ‘wronged wives’
KATIE Price is attempting to make friends with Amir Khan’s estranged wife Faryal Makhdoom to form a “wronged wives” style union – but has so far been ignored.
The mum-of-five has long been friends with boxer Amir – and they even had to shut down rumours they had slept together in 2011, but now Katie is turning her attention to his pregnant, glamorous and cosmetic surgery loving wife.
An insider exclusively told The Sun Online: "Katie's been trying to make friends with Faryal Khan - she tried to message her over Instagram, and followed her on Twitter but she hasn't followed her back yet.
"Katie really thinks they’d have loads in common - she sees it like they're both 'wronged wives'. She's just offering support at what must be a difficult time for Faryal.”
However there is more than meets the eye when it comes to 39-year-old’s Katie’s desire to strike up a friendship with the 26-year-old, as she “loves” the idea of getting inside all the current drama between Faryal and Amir.
Our source continued: "The thing is, Katie just can't help herself when it comes to drama - everyone says she secretly loves it.
“She's always befriending people going through crisis, and Faryal's a perfect example of that."
August saw the breakdown of both the women’s marriages.
Katie sensationally revealed to The Sun that her sex addict husband Kieran Hayler has been having a year-long affair with their children’s nanny and that she was divorcing him.
However in recent weeks she appears to have made a U-turn and decided to keep him around as he’s “unpaid help” who help her cope with the pressures of raising five children and her busy work schedule.
While Faryal was accused by Amir of cheating on him with fellow boxing star Anthony Joshua.
But just weeks later, the model said made the announcement on Twitter, writing: "Alhumdulilah , blessed with baby number 2 in my tummy #excited eating away, can't stop".
Today she was pictured leaving the hospital with her latest baby scan, and last week Faryal revealed she wanted to get back together for the sake of their unborn child and apologised to her in-laws for their bitter war of words.
But boxing champ Amir Khan delivered a knockout blow just hours later when he shattered his estranged wife's dream of saving their marriage.
He tweeted: "Unfortunately it didn't work out between Me and Faryal and we are still going ahead with the divorce. We are in good talking terms.
"We have to think about our daughter Lamaisah who I will always be there for. I wish Faryal all the very best for the future."
