EMINEM was trolled online following his performance on Saturday Night Live.
The 45-year-old, real name Marshall Mathers, took to the stage for a bizarre mash up of his new song Walk On Water and old tracks Stan and Love The Way You Lie, alongside Skylar Grey.
But while his hardcore fans loved his return to TV, others were less than impressed and slammed his appearance on the show.
One person questioned: “How do you get asked to be on SNL and you just recycle your 10 year old songs... Eminem is so vastly overhyped.”
Someone else blasted: “Eminem doing a time machine performance and it ain't helping the fact that he's washed up and old.”
“#Eminem is terrible...damn does the dude have any sense timing/rhythm? Well at least he got the grey dyed out of his beard... that's something I guess,” wrote another.
Another added: “Does it feel to anyone else that he might retire during the end credits?”
While someone else wrote: “Grew up a big Eminem fan, and still am... but he's starting to sound like a bad version of Macklemore (see current #SNL performance) 😔”
Eminem recently made a return to the stage when he performed at the MTV EMAs at The SSE Arena in Wembley, north west London last week.
He performed his new song Walk On Water, which features Beyonce and whilst the superstar- who recently welcomed twins - was unable to make it, Skylar Grey - who co-wrote the song - filled in on vocals.
Shortly after his performance, the rapper was honoured with the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Hip-Hop and in his acceptance speech, he promised a new album was coming soon.
Speaking to accept his award - which was presented by Prophets of Rage - he said: "I'm not sure how I got this because I haven't had an album in a few years but I got one coming. Just before I forget, I want to thank the fans and MTV."
