Crimewatch Roadshow presenter Rav Wilding walks away from medical mysteries to train as an osteopath

HE’S helped police unravel some of the nation’s most notorious crimes.
But RAV WILDING will soon be solving medical mysteries after making a surprising career move.
I can reveal the Crimewatch Roadshow presenter is training to become an osteopath, and hopes his five-year course with the College of Osteopaths.
In an exclusive interview, Rav revealed: “Human anatomy is something I’ve always been fascinated with.
My goal is to understand how the body works, especially in relation to injuries and rehabilitation.
“I’m studying inbetween filming various shows for the BBC and enjoying the challenge. I’m already attending clinic and meeting real patients, seeing how osteopathic care is helping.”
Rav’s new career comes after he suffered life-changing injuries while taking part in ITV’s now-defunct diving show Splash! in 2013.
He sued the channel following a horror accident, right during recovery, on the TOM DALEY show which saw him snap hamstring tendons during a somersault dive in training and left him with one leg shorter than the other.
While Rav, fighting fit, could have let the experience knock him for six, he is hoping it will help him to empathise with patients when he completes his training.
He said: “As someone who has had numerous injuries I feel most people’s pain and can easily relate to them.” Rav is not ready to turn his back on TV, though, and even plans to launch his own medical show.

'Ave a Butcher's at teen Tiffany
WITH Bianca and Ricky as her on-screen parents, little Tiffany Butcher was destined to cause chaos in EastEnders.
After leaving Walford in 2014 for a new life in Milton Keynes, it looked like we had seen the last of their cheeky daughter.
But as of the New Year, Tiffany will be back in Albert Square, played again by actress MAISIE SMITH, who looks almost unrecognisable after three years away from the soap.
The actress said last night: “It’s great to be back on the set of EastEnders.
“It’s been lovely to see some old faces and meet new ones too.
“I can’t wait to show everyone how much Tiffany has changed.”
Maisie has already started filming scenes and bosses have promised that Tiffany will be even more of a nightmare than her mum Bianca, played by PATSY PALMER, who she looks the spit of in her puffer jacket.
Her mum’s storylines have included affairs, feuds, bereavements, family problems, spina bifida, an abortion and two problematic marriages to Ricky.
Tiffany has some work to do . . .
Shada's lifted off doc
DOCTOR Who fans will be delighted to hear the BBC has brought to screens a serial previously scuppered due to strike action.
TOM BAKER’s penultimate series as the Fourth Doctor was cut short, but he has now returned for a one-off downloadable a episode called Doctor Who: Shada, available on iTunes today.
The tale has been a book and audio drama, but this release is a mix of live action and newly created animation.
Speaking about his return, Tom, above, said: “When I was doing Doctor Who it was the realisation of all my childhood fantasies . . . so I took to it like a duck to water and I still do.
“Doctor Who was more important than life to me. That’s why I can’t stay away from it. Shada was one of my favourite Doctor Who stories.
“I have many fond memories of shooting the location scenes in Cambridge, and it was disappointing not to finish the story in the studio.”
Fans will finally be able to sleep easy.

LOVE Island winner KEM CETINAY is worried he is falling behind his Dancing On Ice rivals.

Prue's Poldark secret
AFTER accidentally revealing the winner of this year’s Bake Off final before it was broadcast last month, show judge PRUE LEITH now aims to create another drama.
The restaurateur and cook is hoping for a TV version of some of her own novels.
She said: “My main ambition is to get my trilogy made into a film. I want to do a Sunday night drama like Poldark.
“It is about the history of food – I would love to do that on telly. So if there are any producers out there . . . ”
And Prue has already got her eye on co-host PAUL HOLLYWOOD as a prospective star.
She said: “He is very good. When we do these little skits and links for Bake Off, he is just brilliant.
“He can do that sort of death stare. He is an absolute softie, a really sweet guy.”
I doubt he’ll get the same reaction as AIDAN TURNER . . .
