I'M a Celebrity has been forced to deny last night's strawberry-gate was a stunt - after fans accuse bosses of faking it.
Viewers were left stunned by Amir Khan and Iain Lee's actions last night, after they ate the strawberries and cream they had won for camp in the Dingo Dollar Challenge all by themselves.
The audience were so shocked at their selfishness, they struggled to believe it could be genuine, and some felt the only explanation could be that they had been asked to do it by the crew.
One wrote on Twitter: "@imacelebrity the strawberry scandal was definitely a set up by the producers. Iain & Amir's acting wasn't very good so it was obvious!"
Another tweeted: "Amir gave his snickers bar to Kez when she had nothing but yer ma thinks he's selfish because he was told by the producer to eat the strawberries."
A third added: "I think the producer told iain and amir to do that just so people talk about it even more."
A fourth agreed with their thinking, writing: "This Iain and Amir thing on I'm a Celebrity smacks of a producer putting them up to it."
But, proving that the show isn't a structured reality programme like Towie, an insider told The Sun Online: "It was absolutely not a 'stunt' or set up and you'll see the drama continue in tonight's show".
Indeed, the harsh reality is that the two men were only thinking of themselves when they sat and gorged on the fruity goods before heading back to camp.
And Iain has even admitted he has no regrets over his part in the deceit, saying he would do it again if he could while in the Bush Telegraph.

This is despite the fact he was all to aware that he had alienated himself from the group even more than before.
Speaking during a live chat with Extra Camp viewers in the Bush Telegraph last night when he was asked who he was closest to, Iain said: "After strawberrygate, none of them, but I imagine the person I was closest to before I burnt all of my bridges was Shappi.
"I felt really close to the group until about 15 hours ago."
