Socialite Tara Palmer-Tompkinson left £2.3m estate to kids she never had

TARA Palmer-Tomkinson left her £2.3million fortune to children she never had.
The socialite and reality star made a will in 2004 leaving her estate to her kids once they reached 25.
But tragically Tara was childless when she was found dead in her £4million central London apartment in February aged 45.
Her estate, which was valued at £2.34million after her affairs were settled, will now be passed to the families of her ski firm boss brother James and author sister Santa Montefiore.
In one of her final interviews in April last year she admitted regrets over her party lifestyle, saying: “I’d like to go back to that young girl and shake her. I did things I’m very ashamed of. I put my family through so much.
“I thought I’d be married and have two children by now. I imagined I’d be living in the country.”
Tara had autism and was battling a brain tumour when she died suddenly from a perforated ulcer and peritonitis.
She had been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease a year before her death.
The star was born in Hampshire to Olympic skier Charles Palmer-Tomkinson and wife Patricia in 1971.
When she was a school girl, she dreamed of being a pianist or to ride in the Grand National, but she quickly fell down other paths, crossing the line from aristocratic society into celebrity culture.
Tara was born to a privileged background and was god-daughter to Prince Charles. She counted him as a close friend and went to William’s wedding to Kate in 2011.
The kooky posh girl briefly worked in the City of London for Rothschilds bank before she grew in fame through her weekly columns.
The star’s most notable relationship was with Blue singer Duncan James.
The pair dated between 2008 and 2009 but remained firm friends for years after their time together.
Tara’s relationship history also included a year-long relationship with Duran Duran star Nick Rhodes in 1999, just after she dated then popstar and EastEnders hunk Sid Owen.
The pair were high profile together in 1997 before splitting shortly after.
Tara was also known to have dated Fiat boss Eduardo Teodorani-Fabbri in 2009, and businessman Anton Bilton in 2000 to 2001.
One of her more high profile dalliances was with Lord Robert Hanson.
Her sister read a moving tribute to Tara at the socialite's funeral, saying: “I hope that you are resting, because you found life hard and now it is done.”
