Jeff Brazier reveals youngest son Freddie chose to spend Christmas with Jade Goody’s mum ‘so she wasn’t alone’

JEFF Brazier revealed his youngest son Freddie spent the day with Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden so she “wasn’t alone”.

The 13-year-old’s sweet gesture was revealed by his dad online.

Sharing a picture of himself at the beach with Jade’s eldest son Bobby, 14, Jeff said: “Just Bob [and me] this morning.

“Missing Fred today but his kindhearted desire to keep his Nan company so she wasn’t on her own this Christmas isn’t something I can stand in the way of so must encourage.

“Proud of him.”

Jade sadly passed away in 2009 following a battle with cervical cancer aged just 27.

Jeff, 38, previously revealed how he works hard with his fiancee Kate Dwyer to keep Jade’s memory alive.

Earlier this year the dad of two got engaged to partner Kate Dwyer.

He told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine: “Spending time together during our evening meal is especially important for us as a bereaved family.

“We’ll talk about our day and then we’ll always chat about Jade.

“It’s healthy for the boys to be constantly remembering her.

“I’m strict about not having the TV or mobiles on at the table, so there are no distractions, and it’s one of my favourite parts of the day.”

Bobby and Freddy will be best men on Jeff and Kate's wedding day next year.

Since Jade's death, Jeff has written a book called The Grief Survival Guide in a bid to help others also dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Jeff made an effort to make sure that the two boys never forget their mum - and told Woman's Own that they “miss her most when things aren't going well.”

He explained: “That’s the gut-wrenching thing about bereavement. It’s just an indisputable fact that their lives would be so much better if Jade was here.”
