Golden Globes 2018 stars miss the memo on the blackout as Blanca Blanco wears revealing red dress

HOLLYWOOD'S best and brightest came together to wear black as a mark of respect at the Golden Globes, but some people didn't get the memo.
Actress Blanca Blanco opted to forgo the all black outfit like the other stars at the bash in favour of a barely there red creation that left little to the imagination.
But while Blanco pulled focus for all the wrong reasons, other stars wore black out of respect but still missed the mark.
Fashion's former first lady Sarah Jessica Parker found herself wearing a clunky ensemble unlike her usual chicness.
Outlander star Caitriona Balfe wore a bizarrely cut dress for the evening too.
Former The Hills star Kristin Cavallari wore a creation with over-long sleeves that gave her the look of creepy paranormal figure the Slender Man.
The 75th Golden Globes saw some of the biggest names in showbiz make a stand against sexual harassment in the wake of the scandal centred around movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Joining the men in their black tuxedos, this evening’s leading ladies wore all-black outfits in a silent show of support for the “Me Too” movement and the “Time’s Up” campaign.
The “Me Too” hashtag, which started trending worldwide following a call to action from actress Alyssa Milano, has been used by some of the biggest stars including Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lawrence, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie.
Time’s Up, an initiative created by 300 female Hollywood actors, executives, writers and directors to “counter systemic sexual harassment in the entertainment business”, have also created pins which many of the attendees wore.
The ceremony was hosted for the first time by US late night host Seth Myers, who said of sexual harassment in Hollywood: “It’s nice to have an elephant in the room.”
Speaking to The New York Times ahead of the event, which is being held at the Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Seth added: “There’s nothing more helpful than something everybody’s thinking about.”
Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams, Shailene Woodley, Emma Watson, Susan Sarandon, Laura Dern and Amy Poehler confirmed prior to this evening’s ceremony that they would each be accompanied by a female activist.
