AMBER Davies has revealed how she turned to alcohol to cope with her split from Kem Cetinay.
The Love Island winners broke up in December after just a few months of dating having met on the ITV2 show over the summer.
Appearing on today's Lorraine, Amber, 20, explained how she had given up booze after partying too much when she became single again.
She said: "I definitely used alcohol as a coping mechanism for the heartbreak.
"You know you drink, drink, drink, you let your hair down and have fun but I took about four steps when I should have just powered through."
When Lorraine said she was really sad about their split, as their love had seemed genuine, Amber said there was still hope they could reunite further down the line.
She said: "I'm not ruling anything out for the future, we both need to concentrate on our careers.
"We both - well I need to grow up a bit before I commit to anything too serious.
"But I'll always have a place in my heart for him."
Amber then confirmed she had watched Kem on Dancing on Ice on Sunday and was backing him to do well.
She said: "I was probably more nervous than he was, I was like 'Kem please don't fall' but I thought he was brilliant. I was so impressed."
Lorraine then asked Amber for her thoughts on the rumours Kem is now dating Scarlett Moffatt, something she had already hinted at.

She said: "There's so many rumours and you don't know what to believe but as long as he's happy I'm happy, he deserves to be happy he's such a lovely person.
"I think [our relationship] was intense and I think that it was a mutual decision, it did fizzle out because we weren't seeing each other but we're still really good friends."
Amber then said she didn't have time for a "male friend" herself, and was focusing on her career.
She explained: "I'd love to go into a soap. I'd like to use my talent and passion and have a long nice future in what I want to do.
"I'll always be grateful as it gave me that platform but I'm trying to work as hard as I possibly can."
