Paloma Faith reveals Sir Paul McCartney snubbed an appearance on her latest album

BRITS Best Female nominee PALOMA FAITH has revealed SIR PAUL McCARTNEY almost featured on her latest album The Architect.
In an exclusive interview, she said: “He came to rehearsals and said, ‘I’d love to jam with you’.
He didn’t make it but sent a cake with a note that said, ‘Sorry, snowed under.
"Let’s jam another time.’”
Paloma is set for a 20-date UK summer tour, including gigs at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey and the Edinburgh Summer Sessions, which goes on sale this Friday.
I’m sure Macca will pay a visit with cake.

BRUNO MARS is going to need a bigger trophy cabinet.
He swept the board at the ceremony, winning all six of the awards he was up for, including three of the Big Four – Album of the Year for 24K Magic, Record of the Year for the tune of the same name, and Song of the Year for That’s What I Like.
Just behind him was KENDRICK LAMAR, who dominated the rap categories and picked up five gongs.
JAY Z was the front-runner going into the ceremony with eight nominations, yet walked away empty-handed.
I was pleased there was good news for ED SHEERAN, after he was brutally snubbed in most of the categories.
He won Best Pop Solo Performance for Shape Of You and Best Pop Vocal Album for Divide – the only prizes he was nominated for.
Ed, who swerved the ceremony, posted on Insta– gram yesterday: “Woke up to the news I won two Grammys last night. Thank you!”
It’s the least he deserved.

RIHANNA got to celebrate with boyfriend Hassan Jameel after performing Wild Thoughts at the ceremony.
He joined her at New York club 1 OAK, although they arrived and left separately hoping no one would notice.
I'll show who all #steppedup
THE Grammys celebrated their 60th anniversary at the ceremony in New York on Sunday night but there are many music fans who feel the awards are out-of-touch.
It seemed the committee who dish out the nominations and gongs are living in the dark ages after just one female artist, Canadian singer ALESSIA CARA, triumphed in the major categories.
She scooped the Best New Artist title.
In his bid to try to explain the omissions, Recording Academy President Neil Portnow managed to make things worse – urging female artists around the world to “step up” if they want to be recognised.
Given the particularly sensitive climate of the entertainment world with the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements in full flow, it wasn’t the best timing, either.
Portnow said: “Women who have the creativity in their hearts and souls, who want to be musicians, who want to be engineers, producers and want to be part of the industry on the executive level… [They need] to step up, because I think they would be welcome.”
If he genuinely believes there were no female stars other than Alessia who deserved recognition, he should have a look at my list, left, of 20 women who have more than “stepped up” over the past 12 months.
It wasn’t a struggle to compile it. Grammys, take note for next time.

PINK stripped things down for an emotional performance of her ballad Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken and said it will be her next single.
She has joined up with children’s charity Unicef for the video, which is due out this week.
JAY Z and BEYONCE might seem like the coolest parents – but in the eyes of daughter BLUE IVY they’re still mega embarrassing.
She put up her hand, top, gesturing her parents to stop clapping as CAMILA CABELLO gave a moving speech on immigration at the ceremony.
Jay Z and Queen B, also parents to twins RUMI and SIR, looked puzzled as the six-year-old shook her head disapprovingly. A clip of the moment has become a viral sensation online.
Now we know who is really the boss in the Carter household.

FIFTH HARMONY may finally be splitting up as LAUREN JAUREGUI is signing to Columbia Records, US sources claimed last night.
The group are with Epic but the after-party gossip was that she has a new deal to go solo.
Gaga: I was worn this way
IT was the hottest ticket in town but anyone hoping to sneak into the Grammys could have hidden under LADY GAGA’s dress.
The singer took to the red carpet in this billowing black Armani number complete with a huge train.
She then hit the stage to perform the title track from her 2016 album Joanne, as well as an incredible version of Million Reasons, with MARK RONSON on guitar.
HEIDI KLUM also wore all black, BEBE REXHA sported a plunging, nude-coloured gown and CAMILA CABELLO turned heads in red.
And never one to do awards ceremonies by halves, MILEY CYRUS took her Grammy performance to a whole new level by teaming up with SIR ELTON JOHN.
The unlikely duo performed an amazing version of his iconic 1971 track Tiny Dancer.
That’s one way to get a guaranteed ticket to his retirement tour.
Grammys Bizmeter: red carpet

Son shines
HE has teamed up with RIHANNA and JUSTIN BIEBER in the past year, but DJ KHALED revealed he has his own superstar joining him on upcoming tunes – his one-year-old son, Asahd. He said: “Me and Asahd have been in the studio cooking on a lot of great things.”
No Jonas bonus
THE JONAS BROTHERS ignited hopes they would be reforming earlier this month when they reactivated the group’s Instagram account. But NICK JONAS has scuppered hopes of a comeback. He said: “I can tell you right now, there’s no reunion planned.” Gutted.
John boy
JOHN LEGEND has won ten Grammys in his career but he had another reason to celebrate on Sunday night. His wife CHRISSY TEIGEN shared a red carpet photo of her baby bump on Instagram, revealing they are expecting a son with the caption: “Mama and her baby boy.”
Dream date
BREAKOUT R&B singer KHALID didn’t win any of the five awards he was up for but was just pleased to be there. He explained: “It’s crazy, because four years ago I tweeted, ‘I wanna go to the Grammys one day’, and four years later, I’m here.” That’s the right attitude.
Kesha tribute tears
KESHA provided one of the most moving performances in Grammy history in what was a huge moment for the #MeToo movement.
She fought back tears while being joined on stage by fellow singers CAMILA CABELLO, CYNDI LAUPER, BEBE REXHA, ANDRA DAY, JULIA MICHAELS and the RESISTANCE REVIVAL CHORUS for a powerful rendition of her hit ballad Praying.
The performance was the culmination of a four-year-long comeback for Kesha, during which she was involved in a legal battle with producer DR LUKE.
This included allegations of sexual abuse which she subsequently dropped.

After the moving set, she wrote: “After everything you’ve done I can thank you for how strong I’ve become.
Thank you to the @RecordingAcad, the women on stage with me tonight and everyone who has supported me through this whole journey.”
Host JAMES CORDEN was visibly moved by the song, as were millions of TV viewers. It was an incredible display.
