WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
Troy: Fall of a City, 9.10pm, BBC One
A new take on the classic Greek mythological tale of what happened when Prince Paris of Troy (single)
and Queen Helen of Sparta (married) fell for each other, eloped and kick-started the 10-year Trojan War.
Louis Hunter (Paris, right) and Bella Dayne (Helen, left) are the star-crossed couple whose destinies are forged after an encounter with the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.
It’s a lavish production by The Night Manager’s writer/creator David Parr with Game Of Thrones-level nudity. But the dialogue – “how did you two get together?” – and some of the performances don’t entirely convince.
Winter Olympics from 6am, BBC One & BBC Two
It’s the busiest day of the Games so far, with nine gold medals being awarded.
And there could be a gold rush for Team GB as Lizzy Yarnold defends her skeleton title, while Elise Christie (left) goes in the 1,500m speed skating event.
Elsewhere, GB men’s curling team, captained by Kyle Smith, face hosts South Korea.
Britain At Low Tide, 8pm, Channel 4
When the tide goes out, Britain’s coastline can be an eerie place, but as this series discovers, fascinating too.
In this opening episode, presenter and palaeontologist Tori Herridge (above)visits a shipwreck from the 1740s in East Sussex, and among its cargo discovers a bottle of uncorked 18th-century red wine.
Hope it was a good vintage…
Mosaic, 10pm, Sky Atlantic
This twisty new US drama has a good sprinkling of Hollywood gold in the shape of Oscar-winner Steven Soderbergh, who directs, and Sharon Stone (left), who stars as successful children’s author and murder victim Olivia Lake.
It’s a complex plot that flits back and forth over four years and points the finger at many suspects,
but all the second-guessing makes for a really interesting, juicy watch.
The Voice UK, 8pm, ITV
It’s the seventh and final week of blind auditions, and we can almost guarantee will.i.am (above) will be the last coach to fill his team, the glorious attention-seeker that he is.
And with barely any spots left on any of the teams, tonight’s auditionees, including a brother-and-sister duo, will have to work extra hard for a turn.
