Ed Sheeran and Eminem discuss rocky love lives in dramatic new video for River

EMINEM returns to acting in a new music video collaboration with Ed Sheeran.

The Slim Shady star lays himself bare in his new track River which features music and rapping interspersed with interview clips.

The video begins with Eminem musing: "What does love mean to you?"

The camera then pans from the multiple Grammy Award winning rapper to soon-to-be-married British star Ed, who recently proposed to high-school sweetheart Cherry Seaborn.

Ed cuts to the chase and says: "If you don't have the trust element, you're f***ed."

The 45-year-old star confesses to fans at one point: "My personal life is not exactly a highlight."

Eminem has spoken previously of his struggle to find love after his divorce from Kim Scott in 2006, the mother of his daughter Hailie.

River tells the story of a woman getting revenge on her abusive husband by cheating on him...with Eminem.

In the video, the love interest 'Suzanne' has a plan to get revenge on her husband- so goes on the web to find someone to get him back.
She starts talking to the rapper, and their casual trysts become more serious when she discovers she is pregnant.

Her story is she wants to keep the baby and Eminem wants to terminate it but from Em's perspective, it's the other way round.

Eminem's "unhappy" Valentine's Day present for his fans dropped on Wednesday.

It's been over 15 years since Eminem starred in the movie 8 Mile and now the River visual has Marshall Mathers back in the acting chair once again.

When asked why he chose the track, he said: "What the song means to me is something that I felt like I needed to get off my chest."

The video then cuts to Ed who sings, "I've been a liar, been a thief, been a lover, been a cheat. All my sins need holy water, feel it washing over me."

Eminem teased the video yesterday, tweeting to his social media followers, "Unhappy Valentine's day! #River Music Video ft. @edsheeran WEDNESDAY."

Eminem's album, Revival, was released in December 2017.
