Benjamin explained: "I was in a long term relationship for 12 years, we were engaged, she ran off  with Stavros to Greece."

Eamonn said: "That's a big difference to go from 12 years with someone to marry at first sight."

Ruth then said: "What about you Stephanie? This is really extreme and you're a beautiful girl, I can't imagine you'd have any problems finding a partner."

Stephanie replied: "Everybody says that but in this day and age, no. I was in a relationship for two years, then about a year ago now  he dumped me and he left.

"I was round my mate's and I was crying and I said I'm gonna go on that show and get married and within minutes my pal had the application form out."

Eamonn said: "So it's fair to say you were both vulnerable then?"

They both agreed and he continued: "I did love both of your reactions when you looked at each other and you knew it wasn't a mistake."

Benjamin said when he saw Stephanie at the altar that she looked "absolutely amazing," the experts did well."

Eamonn clarified that they got legally married on the show and they would have to divorce if they wanted to split up.

Ruth then pointed out the pair weren't wearing wedding rings and they hinted they left them off so viewers would have to tune in and see how they got on.

They were then asked about how their families reacted to them getting married to a stranger on a TV show and Stephanie said hers were supportive.

She said: "From my side, it was pretty much a thumbs up. Quick weddings are not unknown in my family, my sister got engaged within six weeks, my grandparents were married within three months of when they met and they've been successful marriages."
