Chloe Madeley says rugby player boyfriend James Haskell has written a novel
Chloe Madeley has revealed that her boyfriend James Haskell has secretly written a novel and plans to publish it when he retires from rugby.
The fitness fanatic, 30, who has been the dating the English rugby union player, 32, for three-and-a half years, says James is obsessed with crime fiction and would love to focus on his writing later in his career.
Chloe, the daughter of former This Morning hosts Richard and Judy, said: “Nobody knows this about him, but he writes novels – so I think one day he’ll probably publish a novel. He is obsessed with Jack the Ripper and murder mysteries and he’s really, really into Sherlock Holmes.
“I’m really, really pedantic about how much he sleeps. I get really angry with him if I wake up after going to bed and he’s still reading his crime novels, I’m like, ‘Put the book down and go to sleep’.”
Chloe, who is appearing on Ex On The Beach: Body SOS on MTV on Wednesday at 8pm, admits that she likes to keep Chris in shape during his training periods.
She said: “I’m really annoying. It’s like the nanny state being with me – I’m really conscious of his diet, he’s basically handed over his diet and nutrition to me which is amazing so I kind of feed him up, I make sure his calories and his macro-nutrient intake is all in line with the performance with the training and the game, we kind of have a set plan usually that we do the day before and the day of the game so that’s fun and then in terms of training.”

Chris often uploads videos of the couple to his YouTube channel and as a result they have been inundated with offers of reality shows.
She said: “Lots of production companies have approached us. But I think that James is very focused on his rugby, and I’m very focused on building my fitness line, so the timing just isn’t right. Hopefully one day we’ll do something together.”
