Married at First Sight’s Ben and Stephanie to divorce and the millionaire has already moved on after the split

MARRIED At First Sight couple Ben and Stephanie are to divorce.
Property millionaire Ben has revealed he left his wife of a few months just a week after the show came to an end and has already moved on.
Speaking to FuBar Radio's Stephen Leng and Lizzie Cundy he said: "Stephanie and I are still friends but I couldn’t give her what she wanted and what she needed, and time is of the essence.
"And why waste someone’s time if it’s not there?"
He added: "It killed me. After the end of the show we were giving it a go, but as my mum said, you don’t know someone until you've lived with them."
Ben explained: "It broke my heart to do what I had to do, I couldn’t give someone so lovely and so nice what she wanted. She was gutted to be totally honest and she still wanted to try, but it ain't there, kiddo.
"I was thinking, 'How can you love me?' You can’t play with affairs of the heart can you."
Ben also revealed he had already moved on, saying: "I've had a kiss and a cuddle. At the end of the day, it's about respect for that lady. When I was with her I gave 100 per cent and she gave 110 per cent back because she wanted to work on it."
The split means the final episode of the series saw every couple featured going their separate ways.
At the time Harriet and Richard decided to divorce and Stephanie and Ben wanted to stay married.
Married At First Sight's Harriet and Richard realised they didn’t have anything in common and agreed to walk away from their brief marriage after Harriet decided the relationship wouldn't work without chemistry.
Speaking to the experts after making the decision, finance director Harriet said: “Obviously I didn’t want, expect it to end in divorce, so I think I definitely leave with a heavy heart.”
However, police officer Richard, 28, admitted he would have liked to give it longer.
He said: “It feels so rubbish to kind of not make your wife feel that way. I think deflated just hits the nail on the head.”
Richard added: “I think for me there was something there. So yeah, it’s really disappointing to know that it’s at the stage where we’re going to get a divorce.
“And I suppose it’s that kinda first point where there isn’t any hope and the decision has now been made.
“Is there more I could have done? I’m not sure. But I might have given it a little bit longer and more of a shot but ultimately if it’s not right then there’s no point forcing it.”
Harriet admitted she felt bad about the way things had worked out and became tearful at what had gone on.
She said: “I think I’ve found today particularly hard because I feel like I’ve let somebody down and that’s probably the worst part of it.
“You can’t force yourself to feel and it’s just really sad. I feel really upset that I haven’t been able to get there.”
Meanwhile, for Steph and Ben there was a happier ending with the pair deciding to stick together and even exchanging the L word.
After Ben whisked Steph away on a holiday to one of his apartments in Cyprus, the couple had a heart-to-heart and began to work on their issues together - and it worked.
Speaking to the experts, Steph said: “We’re absolutely going to stay married.”
Two months later she revealed the couple were going "from strength to strength".
She added: “The word love has been mentioned and he said it first. I love him, as in, I am in love with him, yes.”
Ben even admitted that while the pair weren't living together they were planning for the future.
He said “She’s an amazing girl and in five years time it’d be nice to have a family together.”
At the end of the show, fans flocked to Twitter to debate the shock announcements.
Viewers bombarded newly-single Richard with offers of dates, but Ben wasn't so lucky.
Many fans accused him of being "fake" and "using" Steph for fame.
They had predicted the pair would split within months.
