Lena Dunham forced to deny she is the star who bit Beyonce’s face after bookies made her favourite
The Girls star and comedian posted a simple denial online stating she had absolutely no involvement in the biting scandal
LENA Dunham has been forced to deny her involvement in the ongoing "Who bit Beyonce?" saga.
The Girls actress and comedian became the favourite with bookies Paddy Power yesterday as fans of Beyonce scrambled to decipher who bit her in December.
But Lena has shut down the rumours that she was involved in the bizarre incident.
Lena tweeted: “As the patron saint of 'She would do that...' I didn’t.”
The furore started earlier this week when comedian Tiffany Haddish told a number of US outlets that the Single Ladies singer had been bitten on the face at a party in December last year.
Fans of Queen Bey all over the globe are desperate to know which celebrity had a nibble on one of the most famous faces in the world.
The hashtag, #WhoBitBeyonce is now trending online and it has lead bookmakers Paddy Power to draw up a shortlist of stars who could have done it, with Girls creator Lena Dunham coming out on top with odds of 2/1.
Lena was closely followed by Love And Basketball star Sanaa Lathan at 7/2.
Sanaa has also come out to deny the claims, writing: “Y’all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyonce and if I did it would’ve been a love bite.”
Sara Foster, who plays Jen Clark in 90210, also ruled herself out as the culprit and joked: “Flattering that anyone thinks I could get this close to Beyonce.”
Beyonce has also refused to comment with her spokesperson telling GQ: "I absolutely cannot comment on any of this, as I have no knowledge."
Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish sent the Beyhive into overdrive on Monday after talking about the "biting", that allegedly happened in December at a Jay-Z afterparty in Inglewood.
Tiffany said: "There was this actress there, that’s just, like, doing the mostest. One of the most things she did? She bit Beyonce in the face.”

She continued: "So Beyonce stormed away, went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This bitch—’ and snatched him.
"They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyonce’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyonce?’ ”
“And so then…,” she continues, “a lot of things happened."
