Making peace
COLEEN Nolan has finally come to terms with her divorce from husband Ray Fensome, insisting she is embracing the change.
The Loose Women star opened up about her private life during an appearance on the ITV show today alongside host Ruth Langsford and fellow panellists Jane Moore and Stacey Solomon.

She said: “I was devastated, obviously, when I realised I couldn’t save my marriage but, like I said, there’s another part of you that goes, ‘Ok, well this was obviously meant to be. Relax, go for it, you know.”
She even went on to joke that she enjoys having more space at home, adding: “I’ve got the whole bed to myself!”
Coleen spent three years trying to save her marriage but revealed she had split from Ray in February this year.
The singer previously opened up about how tough she’d found her relationship woes, adding that the more difficult things got between her and Ray, the more she had to spend on lawyers.

She said: “I think people who say divorce is easy haven’t been divorced.
“It’s really difficult. I’ve spent the past three years working on it. I don’t want to stay with someone because the divorce is hard.
“I don’t think they [our solicitors] like the fact me and Ray are getting on so well.
“The more we row, the more money they get. It’s really annoying me and Ray at the moment.”

Coleen and Ray got engaged on her 40th birthday in 2005.
The guitarist went on to become her second husband when they married in 2007.

Coleen, who was previously married to actor Shane Richie, once said she thought she would grow old with Ray, but more recently claimed there was “too much dividing” the pair.
She said: “I deserve to be happy. Everyone does.
"And once you know your marriage is truly dead you need to make peace with that, bury the past and move on.

“After 17 years together that’s what I’m about to do.”
Coleen shares daughter Ciara with Ray and has two sons, Jake and Shane Jr from her marriage to Shane Richie.
